Duty Manager – Boutique Hotel, Co. Kilkenny

Red D are recruiting a Duty Manager for a beautiful boutique hotel in Co. Kilkenny. This is a superb opportunity for an ambitious hospitality professional to step into management or for an experienced Duty Manager or Assistant Manager to further develop their career in a quality-focused property.

About the Role

The Duty Manager will take a leading role in the daily operations of the hotel, with a strong focus on Food and Beverage. You will support the senior management team in delivering outstanding service across the restaurant, bar and event spaces, ensuring guests enjoy a seamless and memorable experience. This is a hands-on position that requires energy, presence on the floor and the ability to inspire and support the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations, with a particular focus on Food and Beverage service
• Lead, train and motivate the team to deliver excellent guest service
• Ensure smooth coordination between departments
• Manage opening, closing and cash handling duties
• Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and service across all outlets
• Support the senior team in driving sales, profitability and guest satisfaction

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Supervisor, Assistant Manager or Duty Manager in hotels, restaurants or gastropubs
• Strong Food and Beverage knowledge with a passion for hospitality
• Excellent communication and people management skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
• A hands-on approach with attention to detail and guest experience
