As Deputy General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance and a positive, motivated team culture.
About the Role
You’ll be a visible, hands-on leader, supporting Heads of Department across Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Events to deliver excellence at every touchpoint. The role calls for a commercially focused manager who thrives on driving standards, maintaining operational consistency, and supporting a talented, service-driven team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in leading all hotel operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day running and exceptional guest service
- Act as second-in-command, deputising in the GM’s absence
- Lead daily briefings, oversee floor operations, and monitor service standards across all departments
- Work with department heads on staffing, budgets, training, and performance targets
- Drive revenue, manage costs, and contribute to strategic planning and business growth
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and brand standards
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven management experience within a quality 4- or 5-star hotel or resort environment
- A confident, people-focused leader with excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong commercial awareness with experience in budgeting, labour management, and operational KPIs
- A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads by example
- Passionate about Irish hospitality, guest satisfaction, and building an engaged, motivated team
