Cluster Director of Reservations
Red D are recruiting a Cluster Director of Reservations for a leading luxury hotel group.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced reservations professional to oversee the reservations function across a portfolio of luxury hotels. The Cluster Director of Reservations will play a key role in driving commercial performance, leading high-performing teams and ensuring every guest enquiry is managed with professionalism and efficiency.
Working closely with Revenue Management, Sales, Front Office and General Managers, the Cluster Director of Reservations will develop and implement strategies that maximise occupancy, increase direct bookings and deliver exceptional service across all properties.
The Role
The Cluster Director of Reservations will:
- Provide strategic leadership for the reservations function across multiple luxury hotels.
- Lead, inspire and develop Reservations Managers and reservations teams, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and outstanding guest service.
- Develop reservations strategies that maximise occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and overall revenue performance.
- Work closely with the Cluster Director of Revenue and hotel leadership teams to optimise pricing, inventory and distribution strategies.
- Monitor booking pace, market trends, conversion rates and competitor activity, making recommendations to improve commercial performance.
- Drive enquiry conversion while ensuring an exceptional guest experience at every stage of the booking journey.
- Oversee group reservations, corporate bookings and leisure business, working closely with Sales and Events teams.
- Ensure consistency of reservations standards, policies and procedures across all hotels.
- Analyse reservations data and prepare regular commercial and operational reports for senior leadership.
- Identify opportunities to increase direct bookings and reduce distribution costs.
- Ensure all reservation systems, PMS, CRS and distribution channels are maintained accurately.
- Lead training, coaching and succession planning within the reservations teams.
- Develop KPIs and performance metrics, ensuring targets are achieved across the cluster.
- Resolve complex guest enquiries and support hotels with escalated reservations issues.
- Lead projects that improve efficiency, guest satisfaction and commercial performance.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have:
- Previous experience as a Cluster Director of Reservations, Cluster Reservations Manager, Director of Reservations or in a senior hotel reservations leadership role.
- Experience leading reservations across multiple hotels or a large luxury hospitality operation.
- Strong knowledge of hotel revenue management principles, distribution channels and reservations strategy.
- Experience using leading hotel PMS, CRS and channel management systems.
- Excellent commercial awareness with strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, coach and develop high-performing teams.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to build strong relationships across Revenue, Sales, Front Office and Hotel Operations.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
