Red D are recruiting a Food Services Manager for a boutique five-star hotel in Dublin.

Renowned for its impeccable service and customer service, this stunning award-winning property oozes sophistication and is a favourite with business clientele as well as leisure guests.

The Food Service Manager’s main focus is to direct and manage all aspects of food services, including breakfast, in-room dining, meetings, and events, ensuring the guest experience is always excellent.

The Food Services Manager will oversee the food services in the restaurant including breakfast service, room service & minibars and amenity delivery and presentation. They will also manage the operation on the small meetings and conferences.

This will include:

Meeting room set up

Service provision of all meetings & events

Ensuring meeting rooms and IT are maintained to optimal standards

Overseeing private dining


As the Food Services Manager, you will be continuously developing strategies to improve guest service, food service techniques, and efficiency. You will build and maintain guest rapport throughout service, actively looking for ways to enhance the guest experience and encouraging team members to take the initiative with regard to this and exceed guest expectations. You will implement a departmental induction training plan with all new team members and monitor their performance through regular probationary reviews. You will ensure the team receives ongoing training in hotel/department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), as well as skills training to provide consistent and reliable five-star service that enhances the guest experience.

You will also manage payroll to ensure it is in line with budget expectations, scheduling staff in accordance with both payroll budgets and business levels and revising schedules appropriately to control labour costs.

Ideally, you will have worked in a similar role in Hotel Food Services/Food and Beverage Service for 2-3 years as a Senior Supervisor / Assistant Manager / Restaurant Manager.

You will be passionate about continued learning in the hospitality industry and enjoy leading a team as well as working on your own initiative at times. You will have the ability to lead a team to provide a five-star guest experience and are naturally friendly with a willingness to help exceed guests’ expectations.

You will be required to undertake Duty Manager shifts.

You must be available to work on a shift basis, including weekends.
