Red D have a wonderful opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join Irelands leading luxury Catering & Events Company. You will be passionate about great food, great coffee, and putting people (Team & Customer) at the centre of everything you do.

The role 

As Business Development Manager you will participate in the development and review of proposal strategies and themes, and manage the development of a Proposal Management Plan

  • Direct the creation and review of a proposal outline that will be used as a key document design and control medium
  • Assist in analysing the RFP/bid requirements against the proposal outline to ensure both compliance and responsiveness to the customer issues and needs
  • Generate holistic solutions that are a compelling proposition to the client by addressing their business and customer needs and differentiating the company from their competitors while being balanced with commercial requirements
  • Conduct regular proposal progress status meetings and maintain the proposal schedule
  • Develop a Team plan for the interim review and internal evaluation of the technical, management, and overall proposal approaches
  • Direct writing/editing/rewriting efforts, as needed
  • Develop a team plan for the final review and internal evaluation of the proposal
  • Ensure that appropriate team comments are incorporated into the final proposal
  • Create innovative solutions with a robust value proposition
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the company’s products, services, and propositions as well as those available in the wider market
  • Track market developments relevant to target client group for new and emerging solutions
  • Achievement of the set objectives and financial targets
  • Champion positive customer-oriented culture through all areas of the business
  • Increase the company brand recognition within the workplace food services

Experience in hotel sales, event sales, catering sales or Business Development roles in food, events or catering is essential in this role.
