Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Business Development and Prospecting:

  • Manage a portfolio of key contracted local and global corporate accounts, overseeing meeting room and group business.
  • Grow and manage local Embassy accounts with finesse.

Solicitation and Negotiation:

  • Solicit, confirm, and negotiate transient corporate accounts, ensuring targeted budget achievement.
  • Proactively prospect new accounts, following the sales process through to conversion into ‘producing’ accounts.

Account Management and Strategy:

  • Identify, create, and manage target accounts and consortia agencies in collaboration with the IHG global sales team.
  • Utilize various tools to solicit and secure business, impacting corporate sales production for maximum account penetration.

Planning and Coordination:

  • Create and execute account plans/company needs analysis for top 20 accounts, providing recommendations for pricing, yield management, and sales activities.
  • Manage the annual RFP process for targeted accounts, ensuring maximum hotel profitability and securing travel program inclusion.

Client Engagement and Promotion:

  • Uncover potential P2P leads for sister properties and the company.
  • Organize and facilitate site inspections, entertaining clients to support business efforts.
  • Coordinate Fam Trips/Corporate events where required for maximum sales effort.

Market Insight and Continuous Learning:

  • Stay knowledgeable about the competitive set and key business trends.
  • Maintain valid call objectives and relevant action plans for each key account/key prospect.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proficiency in standard MS Office applications, Outlook Express, Internet knowledge, Delphi, PowerPoint, Excel, Opera, Hotelligence 360, and Salesforce CRM.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • Some travel may be required.

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
