Red D are recruiting a Financial Controller for a Five Star Luxury Resort Hotel in Munster.

About the Company:

We are currently representing a Five Star Luxury Resort Hotel located in Munster, in their search for a skilled Financial Controller.

Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Financial Controller to join their leadership team. As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the resort, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and contributing to the overall financial success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial plans, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting strategies.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls in alignment with industry best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager to achieve financial objectives and goals.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
  • Generate weekly financial reports, including payroll statistics and revenue forecasts.
  • Manage the preparation of annual audit books, VAT declarations, and payroll returns, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and deadlines.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including revenue recording, payroll processing, and accounts payable/receivable management.
  • Provide effective leadership and guidance to the finance department team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Ensure the company meets all financial deadlines and statutory obligations.
  • Take ownership of the financial performance of the business, with a focus on optimizing accounting and financial control activities.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality or retail sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading finance/accounting teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
  • Fluent spoken and written English is essential.
