General Manager for a New 4-Star Luxury Hotel in the West of Ireland

Red D are recruiting a General Manager for a fabulous new 4-star luxury hotel in the West of Ireland.

Responsibilities:

  • Involved in all areas of planning the hotel opening, including working with designers and contractors to bring the hotel to the market on time and on budget.
  • Act as the face of the hotel, ensuring seamless and exceptional guest interactions.
  • Cater to guests’ needs, ensuring every visit offers new and memorable experiences.
  • Build and nurture relationships with local suppliers, businesses, and residents in the surrounding community.
  • Recruit and lead a highly experienced team to run this phenomenal property.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the hotel’s business goals.
  • Oversee all operational aspects, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and guest services.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and other statutory requirements.
  • Manage budgets, financial plans, and expenditure to ensure profitability.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to improve service delivery and guest satisfaction.
  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of high morale and motivation within the team.
  • Implement marketing and promotional strategies to maximize revenue and occupancy.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and creativity.

Requirements:

  • Experience working within leading luxury hotels.
  • Proven track record in overseeing new hotel openings.
  • Ability to build local relationships.
  • Expertise in planning and executing hotel openings or refurbishment, working with designers and contractors is desirable
  • Ability to recruit and manage a top-tier team.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve problems creatively.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
