Red D are recruiting a Senior Bar Person for a warm, welcoming pub in the heart of Athlone.

This well-regarded venue is known for its friendly atmosphere, great drinks, and genuine hospitality—attracting a fantastic mix of locals and tourists. Whether it’s a quiet midweek pint or a busy weekend crowd, this pub is at the heart of the community and a favourite for customers near and far.

As Senior Bar Person, you’ll play a key role in ensuring every customer enjoys excellent service, supporting the management team, and leading by example within the bar crew.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide warm, attentive service to all customers.
• Maintain strong product knowledge and recommend options confidently.
• Support bar operations, including stock control, ordering, and waste management.
• Uphold hygiene and safety standards at all times.
• Mentor and support junior bar staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Carry out opening and closing duties, ensuring the bar is set up and closed down to a high standard.
• Contribute ideas for drinks menus and seasonal offerings.
