Red D are recruiting a Deputy General Manager for a unique and beautiful hotel in Co. Mayo, renowned for its warm Irish hospitality and great food. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hotel professional to join a quality-driven, well-established property where service, team culture and guest experience are at the heart of everything.
As Deputy General Manager, you’ll work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily operations across all departments, with a strong focus on Food & Beverage, Rooms and Guest Services. You’ll be a visible and approachable leader, supporting your team, engaging with guests and maintaining the high standards this hotel is known for.
Key Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in all aspects of hotel operations and business planning
• Lead, motivate and develop department heads to achieve service and financial goals
• Oversee food and beverage operations, ensuring consistency, quality and profitability
• Manage budgets, cost controls and performance targets across departments
• Maintain strong relationships with guests, suppliers and the local community
• Promote training, staff development and a positive, inclusive working culture

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a Deputy General Manager, Operations Manager or strong Department Head ready to step up
• Broad hotel background with strong F&B knowledge and commercial awareness
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Hands-on and detail-focused, with a genuine passion for hospitality and great food
• Financially astute and committed to driving standards and results
