Red D are recruiting a Maintenance Person for a Heritage Property in Dublin City Centre.

Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Person to oversee the day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of a landmark heritage property in Dublin City Centre.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with previous experience maintaining historic or heritage buildings. The successful candidate will take pride in preserving the property’s character while ensuring all systems and facilities operate safely and efficiently.


What You’ll Do

  • Carry out general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and minor decorative repairs.
  • Maintain the exterior of the property, including windows, window boxes, and plant care.
  • Follow scheduled maintenance programmes for lighting, heating, and building systems.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues.
  • Ensure all work complies with Health and Safety standards.
  • Monitor and maintain fire safety systems, including fire panels, emergency lighting, and escape routes.
  • Support larger maintenance and restoration projects as required.
  • Liaise with other departments and contractors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience in a maintenance role.
  • Experience working in a historic or heritage property is essential.
  • Skilled in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general repairs.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance and safety systems.
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
  • Physically capable, including working at heights when required.
  • Valid Safe Pass and First Aid certification.
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Good communication skills and flexible availability, including occasional after-hours call-outs.
