Red D are recruiting a Guest Relations Manager for a five-star luxury hotel in Dublin.
This is a senior, front-facing leadership role for someone who understands that true luxury hospitality is calm, intuitive and personal. The Guest Relations Manager exists to protect, shape and humanise the guest journey from pre-arrival through to departure, ensuring every interaction feels considered rather than performative.
This role suits someone who leads through presence, judgement and preparation. Standards are upheld quietly. Care is shown through consistency, attention to detail and follow-through, not theatrics.
The Role
As Guest Relations Manager, you will hold responsibility for the overall guest experience across the hotel, working closely with senior leaders to ensure consistency, warmth and clarity at every touchpoint.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting the tone for guest relations across the hotel through visible, engaged leadership
- Building, coaching and supporting a team who understand that service is felt rather than scripted
- Working in close partnership with Heads of Department to ensure a seamless guest journey
- Maintaining a strong presence during key arrival, departure and breakfast periods
- Personally welcoming VIP and returning guests and those requiring particular attention
- Taking full ownership of the pre-arrival experience so guests arrive feeling expected and prepared for
- Reviewing arrivals daily and coordinating personalisation across all departments
- Personally verifying VIP and repeat guest rooms to ensure readiness and detail
- Producing a clear, concise daily guest relations report to align all departments
- Handling guest concerns with discretion, empathy and decisive follow-through
- Monitoring guest feedback and identifying meaningful opportunities for improvement
- Introducing considered service refinements that reflect the character of the property
- Supporting training and development with a focus on judgement, anticipation and emotional intelligence
The Person
This Guest Relations Manager role will suit someone who:
- Has experience in luxury hospitality within Guest Relations, Guest Experience, Front Office or a similar senior role
- Is calm, assured and naturally warm in their manner
- Is highly observant, emotionally intelligent and comfortable making decisions in real time
- Leads from the floor and values presence over hierarchy
- Is proud of standards without being rigid or showy
- Understands that the highest level of service appears effortless to the guest
