Red D are recruiting a Head Chef for a superb daytime hospitality operation based at a major corporate site in Co. Galway.

The successful Head Chef will lead the kitchen operation delivering restaurant food, deli-bar service and hospitality dining within a high-quality workplace environment. This Head Chef position suits someone who enjoys running an organised kitchen, developing a close-knit team and maintaining consistently high food standards without the pressures of late-night service.
Working closely with the General Manager, the Head Chef will play an important role in shaping food delivery on site, maintaining strong food standards and ensuring the kitchen operation runs smoothly every day.
The Role
The Head Chef will take responsibility for the day-to-day kitchen operation, including production kitchen, restaurant service, deli-bar and hospitality dining.
Responsibilities include:
• Leading and supporting the kitchen team while maintaining a positive and professional kitchen culture
• Overseeing food production across the restaurant, deli-bar and hospitality services
• Ensuring food quality, presentation and consistency remain at a high standard
• Working closely with the General Manager to support operational planning and site performance
• Managing labour, food costs, purchasing and stock control
• Introducing seasonal menus and fresh food ideas while maintaining operational efficiency
• Ensuring all food safety, HACCP and operational standards are consistently maintained
• Coaching and developing chefs to support team growth and consistency
• Monitoring kitchen performance and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery
The Ideal Candidate
This Head Chef role will suit a Senior Chef, Sous Chef or Head Chef with strong leadership ability who enjoys running a well organised kitchen and supporting a team to deliver consistently good food.
You will likely have:
• Experience working as a Senior Chef, Sous Chef or Head Chef in a structured hospitality environment
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop a kitchen team
• A recognised culinary qualification
• Experience managing food costs, labour and kitchen operations
• A highly organised approach to food production and service
• A genuine passion for fresh food and professional hospitality standards
This is an excellent opportunity for a capable Sous Chef ready to step into a Head Chef role, or an experienced Head Chef seeking a more balanced working schedule.
