Red D are recruiting a Restaurant General Manager for the opening of a major new restaurant in Dublin.

This is a serious opening with real ambition behind it. A beautifully designed space, modern Irish food at its core and a restaurant that wants to make an impact from the minute the doors open.

The Restaurant General Manager will lead the opening, build the culture and drive the standards from day one. This role needs someone who is confident on the floor, commercially sharp and naturally good with people. Someone who knows how to create atmosphere, build a team and run a busy restaurant without losing the personality of the place.

The food style is modern Irish with strong seasonal influence, quality ingredients and a contemporary feel. Service needs to feel polished, warm and effortless.

You’ll be highly visible in the business and very much the face of the restaurant. Guests will know who you are. Your team will feel your presence. The Restaurant General Manager will bring energy, charisma and leadership that lifts the entire operation.

This role will suit someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality. Someone who likes busy services, knows how to read a room and can keep standards high while still creating a relaxed, enjoyable environment for both guests and staff.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading the restaurant through pre-opening, launch and ongoing operation
• Recruiting, developing and motivating a high-performing front of house team
• Driving service standards and creating a strong guest experience
• Managing the financial performance of the restaurant including labour and costs
• Working closely with the kitchen and senior team to shape the overall offering
• Creating a culture that people want to be part of
• Being present on the floor and leading by example during service

What we’re looking for

• Strong Restaurant General Manager or senior restaurant leadership experience
• Background in quality-led, high-volume restaurants
• Experience in modern Irish food or similar style dining preferred
• Pre-opening experience would be a major advantage
• Strong commercial awareness and operational control
• Natural leadership presence with excellent people skills
• Someone with personality, confidence and real warmth
