Workforce Planning / People Operations Manager

Red D are recruiting a Workforce Planning / People Operations Manager for one of Ireland’s busiest and most exciting visitor attractions.

This is a key operational leadership role focused on workforce planning, rostering and day-to-day people operations across a large visitor experience team. You’ll make sure the operation is properly staffed, organised and prepared to deliver an exceptional visitor experience throughout the year.

The ideal candidate will come from a hospitality background and will understand the pace, unpredictability and operational demands that come with running large teams in busy environments. You’ll bring a mix of operational experience and HR or people management knowledge, with strong rostering, workforce planning and labour control experience.

You’ll work closely with operational leaders to manage staffing levels, labour planning and seasonal workforce requirements while keeping people processes running smoothly across the business.

This is a site-based role with regular Saturday working required.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading workforce planning and rostering across the Visitor Experience operation
  • Managing annualised rosters and weekly staffing adjustments
  • Forecasting staffing requirements in line with operational and seasonal demand
  • Working closely with operational teams to ensure labour resources are aligned with business needs
  • Overseeing onboarding, offboarding, absences and operational people administration
  • Maintaining accurate workforce records and people data
  • Supporting operational and seasonal recruitment campaigns
  • Managing staffing agency relationships and temporary workforce requirements
  • Monitoring labour spend and labour budgets across the operation
  • Producing labour reporting, forecasting and workforce analysis for senior leadership
  • Supporting employee relations matters where required
  • Acting as a central operational people contact across the business

What we’re looking for

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in Workforce Planning, Operations, HR Operations or People Management
  • A hospitality background is strongly preferred
  • Experience managing large operational teams in busy hospitality, tourism or visitor-focused environments
  • Strong rostering and workforce planning experience
  • Good understanding of operational HR and people processes
  • Experience managing recruitment and agency staffing
  • Commercially minded with labour budget management experience
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Hands-on, practical and solutions focused
