Red D are recruiting a Head of People & Culture for a fast-growing commercial organisation with offices in Northern Ireland and Tipperary.
This is a senior HR leadership role with a hybrid structure: two days per week in the Northern Ireland office, one day in Tipperary, and remote flexibility for the remainder. It’s a fantastic opportunity to lead the people strategy across a multi-site business with a workforce of more than 150 employees.
As Head of People & Culture, you will work closely with the senior team while owning the full HR function, from strategic planning to hands-on delivery. You will lead across areas such as recruitment, employee development, performance, wellbeing, compliance and culture-building. The business is in a strong growth phase, and this role will be instrumental in shaping the team, systems and structure needed to support that.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver the HR strategy in line with company growth plans
- Advise on organisation structure, workforce planning and company culture
- Manage recruitment, onboarding and contract management
- Lead performance management, training, development and employee engagement
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation in both NI and ROI
- Drive digitisation of HR processes and reporting
- Coordinate workplace Health & Safety across office, field and operational settings
- Support line managers with performance, absence and employee relations matters
- Review pay structures, benefits, holiday policies and flexible working
- Build partnerships with third-level institutions, training providers and industry contacts
What You’ll Need:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a broad HR generalist role
- Proven background in a commercial or private sector setting with at least 150 employees
- Strong knowledge of employment law in both NI and ROI
- Degree in HR, Business Management or related discipline
- CIPD membership (essential)
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
- Confidence working independently and influencing senior stakeholders
- Strong systems knowledge and the ability to train others
- A calm, pragmatic and solutions-focused mindset
