Red D are recruiting a Food & Beverage Manager for a beautiful 4 Star Hotel in West Cork.

This role needs a real foodie. Someone enthusiastic, high energy and genuinely excited about great food, great service and creating an atmosphere that guests want to come back to.

The hotel has a strong food and beverage offering and is looking for a Food & Beverage Manager who will bring personality, ideas and real presence to the operation. You’ll be visible, involved and close to both the team and the guests.

Customer service is at the centre of this role. The successful Food & Beverage Manager will understand that the small details matter, from how guests are welcomed to the pace of service, the knowledge of the team and the overall experience.

The Role

As Food & Beverage Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day F&B operation, working closely with the General Manager, Head Chef and wider hotel team.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the food and beverage operation with energy and enthusiasm
• Creating a warm, engaging and memorable customer experience
• Being highly visible on the floor and actively involved during service
• Building a team that understands great hospitality and enjoys delivering it
• Developing the team’s knowledge of food, menus, drinks and service
• Working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team
• Bringing ideas to the F&B offering and identifying opportunities to improve the guest experience
• Maintaining excellent service and presentation standards
• Managing labour, payroll and departmental costs
• Monitoring revenue, margins and F&B performance
• Managing stock, purchasing and controls
• Supporting recruitment, training and development
• Ensuring food safety, cleanliness and compliance standards are consistently maintained
• Playing an active role within the hotel management team

You’ll ideally bring:

• Strong food and beverage management experience
• A genuine passion for food, drinks and hospitality
• Excellent customer service instincts
• High energy and a positive approach
• A natural ability to engage with guests
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• The ability to motivate and develop a hospitality team
• Good commercial awareness
• Strong organisational skills
• Experience managing a busy F&B operation
• A hands-on approach and willingness to be part of the action

You could currently be a Food & Beverage Manager, strong Restaurant Manager, Operations Manager or an ambitious Deputy Food & Beverage Manager ready for more responsibility.
