Assistant Director of Sales | 5 Star Hotel | Dublin

Red D are recruiting an Assistant Director of Sales for a leading 5 star hotel in Dublin.

This is a high-profile sales role for an accomplished hotel sales professional who knows how to represent a luxury property at the highest level.

The Assistant Director of Sales will work closely with the Director of Sales, taking a leading role in driving corporate, leisure, MICE and international business while developing strong relationships with key clients, luxury travel partners and industry contacts.

Personal presentation, confidence and professional presence are particularly important. This is a highly visible role representing a five-star hotel at client meetings, networking events, trade shows, sales missions and international appointments. The successful candidate will need to be polished, engaging and completely comfortable building relationships with senior decision-makers and representing the hotel in Irish and international markets.

International travel will form an important part of the position.

The Role

As Assistant Director of Sales, you’ll play a key role in the commercial performance and market positioning of the hotel.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Supporting the Director of Sales in delivering the overall sales strategy
• Developing new corporate, leisure, MICE and international business
• Managing and growing relationships with key accounts and commercial partners
• Identifying new markets, accounts and revenue opportunities
• Representing the hotel at international trade shows, sales missions, networking events and industry events
• Undertaking international sales travel to develop relationships and generate business
• Conducting client appointments, presentations, site inspections and familiarisation visits
• Working closely with Revenue, Reservations, Events, Food & Beverage and hotel operations
• Managing key accounts and delivering agreed sales activity and commercial targets
• Monitoring market activity, competitor performance and emerging opportunities
• Maintaining a strong presence within the Dublin, Irish and international hospitality and travel markets
• Supporting and developing members of the sales team
• Acting as a senior representative of the hotel when required

Who We’re Looking For

This role will suit someone with strong luxury or five-star hotel sales experience who is ready to take another step in their career.

You’ll need:

• Strong hotel sales experience, ideally within a luxury or five-star environment
• A proven ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts
• Experience across corporate, leisure, MICE or international markets
• Excellent client relationship and account management skills
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of hotel revenue
• Confidence presenting, networking and representing a luxury hotel externally
• Exceptional personal presentation and a polished, professional manner
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build relationships naturally with senior clients, partners and industry contacts
• The flexibility and availability to travel internationally as required
