Red D are recruiting an experienced German-Speaking Hotel Manager for a high-quality hotel operation in Germany.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong, hands-on hotel operator with experience across both Rooms Division and Food & Beverage who is ready to take on a broad senior management role.

While the Hotel Manager will have responsibility across the operation, this particular property has a stronger focus on Rooms Division, so substantial experience across Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations / Revenue, guest experience, and rooms performance will be important.

The successful Hotel Manager will also need solid Food & Beverage experience and the ability to understand and support the operation across all areas of the hotel.

Fluent German and English are essential for this position.

The Role

As Hotel Manager, you’ll take a senior role in the day-to-day management of the property, working closely with the leadership team and department heads.

The role will include:

• Leading the day-to-day hotel operation across Rooms and Food & Beverage
• Taking a particularly strong operational focus on Rooms Division
• Overseeing Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations and Guest Services
• Working closely with the Food & Beverage team to maintain service, quality and commercial standards
• Maintaining high standards throughout the guest journey
• Leading, supporting and developing departmental managers and their teams
• Ensuring strong communication and coordination between Rooms, Food & Beverage and other departments
• Managing staffing levels, payroll and productivity
• Monitoring departmental budgets, costs and financial performance
• Working closely with Revenue, Sales and Reservations to maximise occupancy, ADR and rooms revenue
• Reviewing guest feedback and ensuring issues are handled quickly and professionally
• Driving service standards and operational consistency
• Supporting recruitment, training and development
• Ensuring hotel procedures, health and safety requirements and operational standards are consistently maintained
• Taking an active and visible role throughout the hotel

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced hotel operator with a strong background in Rooms Division, combined with good operational experience across Food & Beverage.

You’ll ideally have:

• Fluent German and English
• Significant experience within quality hotels
• Strong Rooms Division experience
• Good Food & Beverage operational experience
• Excellent Front Office and Housekeeping knowledge
• Experience managing and developing operational teams
• Strong guest service and people management skills
• Commercial and financial awareness
• Experience with budgets, payroll, productivity and cost control
• A good understanding of rooms revenue, occupancy, ADR and forecasting
• The confidence to lead and support experienced department heads
• A hands-on management style with a visible presence throughout the hotel
• The flexibility to relocate within Europe

We are particularly interested in speaking with experienced Hotel Managers, Deputy General Managers, Deputy Managers, Operations Managers, Rooms Division Managers and Directors of Rooms who have developed broad hotel operational experience and are ready for their next move.
For someone currently working as a Deputy General Manager or Deputy Manager, this could be an excellent opportunity to progress into a Hotel Manager position while continuing to build broader operational and commercial experience.
