BAR MANAGER | 4 STAR HOTEL | SOUTH DUBLIN

Red D are recruiting an experienced Bar Manager for a busy 4 star hotel in South Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Bar Manager who enjoys leading from the floor, developing a strong team and creating a bar experience that keeps guests coming back.

We are looking for someone with personality, energy and a real passion for hospitality. Someone who understands the commercial side of running a successful bar, knows how to get the best from their team and takes pride in delivering excellent service.

The successful Bar Manager will take ownership of the day-to-day bar operation, working closely with the hotel’s senior management team to drive revenue, manage costs and maintain consistently high standards.

Experience in a busy hotel bar environment, particularly one with a strong conferences and events business, would be a distinct advantage.

The Role

As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the bar, combining hands-on operational leadership with strong financial and people management.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading, motivating and developing the bar team to deliver excellent guest service
• Taking full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the bar
• Driving bar revenue, profitability and opportunities to increase spend
• Managing beverage costs, stock control, purchasing, wastage and departmental budgets
• Maintaining excellent standards of presentation, cleanliness and service
• Recruiting, training and developing team members while building a positive working environment
• Managing rotas, payroll and staffing levels in line with business demand
• Working closely with the Food & Beverage and Events teams to ensure successful conferences, functions and special events
• Developing the drinks offering, promotions and opportunities to grow the bar business
• Ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety and all relevant operating procedures

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced Bar Manager or an ambitious Assistant Bar Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Strong bar management experience within a quality hotel or busy hospitality operation
• Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
• A strong understanding of beverage costs, stock management, payroll and profitability
• A commercial approach with the ability to identify opportunities to increase sales
• Experience supporting conferences, events and functions
• Excellent guest service skills and attention to detail
• Good knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails and current beverage trends
• A hands-on management style and the confidence to lead from the floor
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to perform well during busy service periods
