Spa Manager | 5-Star Luxury Hotel | West of Ireland

 

Red D are recruiting an experienced Spa Manager for an exciting new five-star luxury hotel on Ireland’s west coast.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Spa Manager to take a leading role in the opening of a new luxury spa and wellness destination, establishing the service standards, developing the team and creating an exceptional guest experience from the outset.

 

We are looking for a Spa Manager who combines a genuine passion for wellness and luxury hospitality with strong commercial awareness, excellent people management skills and a hands-on approach to daily operations.

 

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a real impact, shaping the spa’s identity, building a strong team and developing a successful, commercially performing operation within a five-star hotel environment.

The Role

Reporting to the hotel’s senior management team, the Spa Manager will have overall responsibility for the leadership, operations, guest experience and financial performance of the spa.

 

This is a senior, hands-on management position requiring someone who is equally comfortable leading a team, managing budgets, driving revenue and being present on the spa floor.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the day-to-day operation of the spa, including treatments, reception, reservations and wellness facilities
• Playing a key role in the pre-opening preparations, operational planning and establishment of service standards
• Recruiting, training, motivating and developing a high-performing spa team
• Creating a welcoming, professional and personalised five-star guest experience
• Managing spa budgets, payroll, revenue targets and overall profitability
• Driving treatment bookings, retail sales, therapist productivity and spa utilisation
• Developing commercial initiatives, treatment packages and promotional opportunities to maximise revenue
• Managing stock levels, purchasing, supplier relationships and cost controls
• Establishing and maintaining operational procedures, treatment standards and quality controls
• Ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, health and safety throughout the spa
• Managing guest feedback and ensuring consistently high levels of guest satisfaction
• Working closely with the hotel’s management team to develop the spa’s contribution to the overall hotel experience

What We Are Looking For

 

We are looking for an experienced Spa Manager who understands what it takes to operate a successful luxury spa and has the confidence, personality and leadership skills to build an exceptional team.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Spa Manager or senior spa management professional, ideally within a five-star hotel or luxury spa environment
• Strong operational knowledge of spa treatments, wellness facilities and guest service standards
• Proven experience in recruiting, managing and developing spa teams
• Excellent commercial awareness, including budgeting, payroll management, revenue generation and cost control
• A strong understanding of treatment sales, retail performance and therapist productivity
• A warm, professional and engaging management style
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to consistently high standards
• The confidence to take ownership of the spa operation and make sound operational and commercial decisions
• A hands-on approach with the flexibility to support the team wherever required

Experience in a luxury hotel opening or spa pre-opening environment would be a particular advantage.
