Restaurant Manager – 5 Star Luxury Resort Co. Kerry
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead and manage the food, beverage, and wine offerings at a 5 Star Luxury Resort in Co. Kerry. Working alongside the Director of Food & Beverage, you will ensure high standards of service and guest satisfaction while meeting the department’s financial objectives.
Requirements:
- Proven Restaurant Management experience in a similar 5-star luxury setting with fine dining.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Expertise in wine with prior experience.
- Knowledge of operational controls, budgeting, payroll, and forecasting.
- Proven ability to enhance standards and procedures through continual assessment, staff training, and response to customer satisfaction.
- Experience meeting expectations of high-end leisure market guests.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Steady career progression in quality-focused operations.
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written) and the right to work in the EU.
- Experience in high-end luxury, Virtuoso, or Relais & Chateaux fine dining environments.
- Polished presentation with flawless customer service skills.
- Strong IT skills including MS Office and Excel.
- Positive and self-motivated attitude with exceptional personal organization.
- Hospitality Management qualification or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage guest experiences in various dining settings, ensuring exceptional service.
- Foster a culture of culinary excellence and wine knowledge among staff.
- Uphold high operating and hygiene standards in all food and beverage areas.
- Achieve financial goals while maximizing revenue and controlling costs.
- Supervise service staff, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to standards.
- Utilize excellent wine knowledge to guide guests and staff.
- Foster teamwork and prioritize customer focus.
- Manage stock levels and maintain equipment within the department.
- Oversee transitions and maintain high standards during changes.
- Collaborate with the management team to shape F&B strategy.
- Work with HR to attract, hire, and retain talented individuals.
- Build relationships with suppliers.
- Use technology to the department’s advantage.
- Ensure F&B gross profit margin each month.
- Manage payroll costs and lead staff training and development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of 5AA Red Star standard, Relais & Chateaux brand, and Irish regulations.
- Previous sommelier experience.
