Red D are recruiting a Purchasing Manager for a leading 5 Star luxury hotel in Dublin.
The company is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to oversee and manage the procurement of goods and services. This role is vital for maintaining quality, budget control, and inventory management across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate purchasing operations, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
- Oversee the ordering, receiving, and storage of items, managing an approved vendor list.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to maintain quality and profitability in food and beverage procurement.
- Manage inventory levels, implement rotation practices, and maintain sanitation standards.
- Handle invoice verification, cost control, and adherence to accounting standards.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting on inventory, costs, and other key metrics.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and internal teams to ensure efficient delivery and quality control.
- Support finance goals and implement safety and emergency procedures.
Qualifications:
- Strong accounting and financial acumen.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software for data management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in procurement or a similar role, preferably in hospitality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
