Red D are recruiting a Sales & Marketing Manager for a leading 4-star hotel in Co. Wicklow.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused and creative Sales & Marketing professional to take ownership of the full sales, marketing, and revenue strategy for an independent hotel — free from brand restrictions and full of potential for growth.
About the Role
As Sales & Marketing Manager, you will lead all aspects of the hotel’s commercial strategy, driving revenue across rooms, events, leisure, and local business markets. You’ll oversee sales, marketing, events, and revenue functions while working closely with the General Manager to position the property as one of Wicklow’s leading destinations for leisure, corporate, and social stays.
This is a hands-on, strategic role that combines traditional hospitality sales with strong digital marketing focus. You’ll represent the property at trade shows and client events, manage relationships with key partners, and deliver measurable results through creative campaigns and business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the annual Sales & Marketing strategy and budget in line with business objectives.
- Drive revenue growth through proactive sales, digital marketing, and strategic partnerships.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the Sales, Marketing, and Events teams.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities across all market segments.
- Represent the hotel at networking events, workshops, sales trips, trade fairs, and client entertainment.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform pricing and positioning strategies.
- Manage relationships with PR agencies, digital marketing partners, and travel trade representatives.
- Produce weekly, monthly, and annual performance reports.
- Collaborate with the Revenue Manager on forecasting, pricing, and promotional strategies.
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior Sales & Marketing role within the hospitality industry.
- Proven success in driving revenue and brand awareness in a 4-star or higher hotel environment.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and revenue management principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Confident, creative, and commercially minded with strong attention to detail.
- Full, clean driving licence essential.
- Experience with Hotsoft is an advantage.
