Red D are recruiting a Bar Manager for a beautiful hotel in the Midlands.

This is a great opportunity if you enjoy leading a strong bar team, keeping standards tight and running a well-organised operation that guests appreciate. You’ll oversee the main bar and support other outlets when needed. The work is varied, the expectations are clear and you’ll be trusted to run things properly.
The Bar Manager role is hands on. You’ll be responsible for service standards, stock, costs, training, compliance and guest satisfaction. The hotel wants someone who can manage people well, spot issues early and keep the operation steady even when it’s busy.

What you’ll be doing
– Leading, training and developing the bar team
– Ensuring full compliance with the Intoxicating Liquor Act and Responsible Service of Alcohol
– Creating a positive environment where people take pride in their work
– Overseeing day to day operations across all bars
– Managing beverage budgets, ordering, cost control and stock procedures
– Conducting weekly and monthly stocktakes
– Completing all HACCP and cash handling documentation
– Working closely with senior management on payroll, GP and service targets
– Scheduling and managing rosters in line with business needs
– Handling guest queries and complaints professionally
– Training the team to upsell and promote hotel facilities
– Maintaining strong communication with all departments
– Keeping hygiene standards consistently high

What you’ll need
– Bar management experience in a hotel or large hospitality environment
– A calm, steady approach to leadership
– Strong understanding of stock control, cash procedures and compliance
– Confidence managing a team and setting clear expectations
– Good communication skills and a focus on guest experience
