Red D are recruiting a Restaurant Manager for a beautiful luxury hotel in Co. Kildare, home to a destination dining restaurant with a strong reputation for quality food and thoughtful service.

This is a hands-on Restaurant Manager role suited to someone who genuinely enjoys being on the floor, leading from the front and setting standards through presence rather than policy. The restaurant is focused on seasonal Irish produce, well-executed menus and a calm, professional service style. It attracts both hotel residents and a loyal local following, so consistency matters every day.

As Restaurant Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the restaurant, working closely with the kitchen team and senior hotel management to deliver a seamless guest experience. This role suits an experienced Restaurant Manager or a strong Assistant Restaurant Manager ready to step into a larger, more rounded position.

The role

• Oversee daily restaurant operations and service delivery
• Lead, train and support the front-of-house team
• Be visible on the floor during service, setting the tone and standards
• Manage reservations, table plans and service flow
• Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure smooth, coordinated service
• Control rosters, payroll and cost awareness
• Handle guest feedback with confidence and professionalism
• Maintain high standards of presentation, hygiene and compliance

The ideal Restaurant Manager

• Experience as a Restaurant Manager or Assistant Restaurant Manager in a quality-led restaurant or hotel
• Strong service knowledge with a genuine passion for hospitality
• Confident people manager who leads calmly and clearly
• Organised, detail-focused and comfortable in a busy environment
• A natural host who builds rapport with guests and regulars
