Red D are recruiting a Business Development Manager for a Five Star workplace food services business, based in Dublin and reporting directly to the Strategic Growth Director.
- This is a senior, commercially driven role with real influence across growth strategy, major tenders and client relationships. You’ll be trusted with complex, high-value opportunities and will play a central role in shaping how the business is positioned in a competitive, quality-led market.
- Working closely with the Strategic Growth Director, you’ll lead and support end-to-end bid activity across RFI, ITT and RFP processes, ensuring every proposal is compelling, compliant and delivered to exacting brand standards. At the same time, you’ll be actively developing relationships, identifying new opportunities and building a visible, sustainable pipeline of business.
- This role suits someone who enjoys ownership. You’ll be involved from first conversation through to contract award, with responsibility for both the detail and the outcome.
The role
- Lead and support complex RFI, ITT and RFP submissions to brand and compliance standards
- Develop proposal strategies, themes and Proposal Management Plans
- Coordinate, review and edit proposal content from marketing, finance, commercial, legal and operational stakeholders
- Analyse tender requirements to ensure proposals are fully compliant and aligned to client needs
- Create compelling, commercially balanced solutions that differentiate the business
- Manage proposal schedules, governance and review processes
- Chair proposal progress meetings and drive momentum to deadline
- Build and maintain a strong, visible pipeline of new business opportunities
- Lead business development conversations and client negotiations to secure profitable contracts
- Maximise routes to market including tenders, consultants, CRM leads and self-generated opportunities
- Track market developments and emerging solutions within workplace food services
- Champion a customer-focused culture and strengthen brand recognition across the sector
The ideal Business Development Manager
- 2–3 years’ experience in a similar sales / business development / bid-led role
- Proven experience delivering RFI, ITT and RFP submissions
- Comfortable influencing and presenting at senior level
- Excellent written English with strong attention to detail
- Highly organised with strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Commercially astute with confidence in negotiations
- Experience within Facilities Management or Workplace Food Services
- Strategic thinker who can translate ideas into winning proposals
