Red D are recruiting a Sous Chef for a small luxury hotel in the Burren region in the West of Ireland.
This is a brilliant fine dining Sous Chef opportunity for a chef who thrives in a high-standard, quality-led kitchen, working with exceptional ingredients and a passionate team. A strong high-end or fine dining background is essential, along with the ability to lead by example and keep standards consistently high throughout service.
The Role
As Sous Chef, responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Delivering exceptional food quality, consistency and presentation across service
- Managing prep, mise en place and smooth service delivery
- Leading and developing junior chefs through coaching and Training
- Maintaining HACCP, food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Assisting with stock control, ordering and minimising waste
- Working hands-on on section and supporting during busy services
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Senior Chef de Partie ready to step up
- Fine dining or high-end hotel/restaurant background is essential
- High standards, attention to detail and genuine pride in the craft
- Calm, organised and reliable under pressure
- A strong team player with a positive leadership approach
- Confident with kitchen systems, standards and food safety
