Red D are recruiting an Assistant Reservations Manager for a well-established hotel group.
This Assistant Reservations Manager role sits right at the centre of the commercial engine. You’re not only managing bookings, you’re influencing revenue, pace and performance across a busy reservations function.
You’ll work closely with the Reservations Manager, supporting the day-to-day running of the reservations team while taking real ownership of standards, performance and results. This is a role for someone who enjoys being hands-on, leading from the front and keeping things tight while developing the team around them.
There’s scale here. You’ll be working with a large team, including Supervisors and Team Leads, so this isn’t a step-up role for someone still finding their feet. You need to be comfortable managing people, setting expectations and holding standards.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the Reservations Manager in the daily running of reservations operations
- Leading and managing a team including Supervisors and Team Leads
- Monitoring performance, pace and conversion and acting on it
- Working closely with Revenue, Sales and Front Office to drive occupancy and rate
- Handling escalations and making sure issues are resolved quickly and properly
- Coaching and developing the team to improve consistency and output
- Reviewing systems and processes and tightening where needed
- Supporting forecasting, reporting and budgeting
What we’re looking for
- Solid experience in hotel reservations at senior agent, supervisor or management level
- Someone who has already managed people and knows how to get the best out of a team
- Strong understanding of revenue principles and how reservations impacts performance
- Good working knowledge of OPERA or similar systems
- Comfortable with data, reporting and making decisions based on it
- Organised, clear and able to manage multiple priorities without things slipping
- Calm under pressure, especially when dealing with escalations
