Red D are recruiting a Reception Manager for a small luxury hotel in Kildare.
This is a visible, hands-on leadership role where the Reception Manager sets the tone for the entire guest experience. You’ll take full ownership of the front office, leading a tight team, keeping standards high and making sure the operation runs cleanly every day.
This isn’t about standing behind a desk. It’s about running the reception function properly, staying close to the detail and building a team that delivers consistently.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing all front office operations day to day
- Leading, training and developing the reception team
- Creating and managing rosters to ensure full coverage
- Driving consistent, high standards of customer service
- Acting as the main point of contact for guest queries and complaints
- Working closely with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready on time
- Maintaining accurate room status and clear communication across departments
- Monitoring front office financials and supporting performance targets
- Being present on the floor, visible to both team and customers
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years’ experience in a Reception Manager or senior front office role
- Background in a quality hotel environment
- Strong leadership ability with a hands-on approach
- Organised, detail-focused and comfortable managing pressure
- Confident communicator with excellent written and spoken English
- Someone who takes ownership and doesn’t need to be chased
