This busy and well-resourced venue serves breakfast, lunch and hospitality catering each day. As Head Chef, you’ll lead a small team, developing creative, healthy and diverse menus that reflect current food trends while meeting the expectations of a discerning corporate clientele.
The Head Chef will have full responsibility for kitchen operations, food quality, team leadership and financial performance.
Excellent planning and organisational skills are essential, along with a calm, solutions-focused approach and a genuine commitment to quality. Discretion is important, and the ability to perform under pressure is key.
This Head Chef position would suit someone with experience in premium workplace catering, hospitality, hotels, restaurants or private dining who is looking for a role that offers both challenge and balance.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading, mentoring and developing the kitchen team
- Planning and delivering breakfast, lunch and hospitality catering services
- Creating seasonal menus and innovative food concepts
- Managing food purchasing, stock control and supplier relationships
- Maintaining food cost controls and kitchen budgets
- Ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and HACCP compliance
- Driving food quality, presentation and consistency across all services
- Supporting client hospitality events and executive dining requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a quality-led environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience in workplace catering, hotels, restaurants, private dining or hospitality catering
- Commercial awareness with strong food cost management experience
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Passion for food, innovation and customer experience
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
