Red D are recruiting an Assistant Director of Marketing for one of Ireland’s leading hospitality and events destinations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Marketing Manager or Senior Marketing Executive who is ready to step into an Assistant Director of Marketing position and take ownership of a diverse, fast-moving marketing function.

The Assistant Director of Marketing will support the Director of Sales & Marketing while playing a hands-on role in driving marketing performance across hotels, food and beverage outlets, wellness, events and conference business. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing, with a dotted reporting line to the CEO, this is a highly visible role with significant influence across the wider business. The role includes occasional travel between locations and the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of hospitality, events, wellness and food and beverage brands.

The successful Assistant Director of Marketing will be responsible for delivering marketing strategies that increase brand awareness, drive revenue and strengthen customer engagement across multiple business units.

This role would suit someone with hospitality marketing experience who enjoys balancing strategic planning with day-to-day execution and leadership.

The Role

As Assistant Director of Marketing, you’ll help lead the overall marketing strategy while managing campaigns, digital performance, content creation, partnerships and brand development.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across sales, food and beverage, events, spa and operations to ensure marketing activity supports commercial objectives and delivers measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and delivery of the overall marketing strategy
• Lead integrated marketing campaigns across multiple business units
• Manage and protect brand standards across all customer touchpoints
• Drive digital marketing performance across paid, owned and earned channels
• Oversee website content, SEO performance and conversion optimisation initiatives
• Analyse campaign performance and provide regular reporting on marketing KPIs
• Lead content planning and brand storytelling across digital platforms
• Manage social media strategy and support the social media team
• Develop CRM and email marketing campaigns to drive customer retention and revenue
• Identify partnership, sponsorship and influencer opportunities
• Support PR activity and media engagement initiatives
• Work closely with operational teams to promote key events, experiences and seasonal campaigns
• Travel between locations as required to support marketing activity, brand consistency, content creation and stakeholder engagement
• Manage supplier relationships and external marketing partners
• Assist with marketing budget management, forecasting and reporting
• Mentor and support members of the marketing team

The Person

• Degree qualified in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related discipline
• Minimum three years’ marketing experience with at least two years in a leadership or management capacity
• Previous hospitality marketing experience is highly desirable
• Experience managing or mentoring team members
• Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms and analytics
• Experience with Google Ads, GA4, Meta Business Suite, Meta Ads, CRM systems and content management platforms
• Good understanding of SEO, email marketing and social media strategy
• Commercially aware with the ability to connect marketing activity to business performance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
