Red D are recruiting an experienced Management Couple for a beautiful upmarket gastro pub, restaurant and events venue in Leinster.

This is a rare opportunity for a couple who enjoy working together and want to take ownership of a quality hospitality business with an excellent reputation. The venue has built a loyal local following while also attracting destination dining, private events and celebrations throughout the year.
You’ll work closely with the owners to lead the day-to-day operation, develop the team, maintain high standards and continue to grow the business.

The Opportunity
One partner will typically take responsibility for the front of house, guest experience, bar, restaurant operations and events, while the other will oversee the kitchen as Head Chef. Couples with different but complementary hospitality backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
Together you’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional food, warm hospitality and a consistently high standard throughout the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

Front of House Manager

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the gastro pub, restaurant and events business
• Recruit, train and develop a high-performing team
• Create an outstanding guest experience and maintain exceptional service standards
• Manage staffing, rotas and labour costs
• Drive beverage sales and oversee stock control
• Work closely with the owners on marketing initiatives and business development
• Build relationships within the local community and with corporate and private clients
• Ensure compliance with all licensing, health and safety and food safety requirements
• Take ownership of financial performance, budgeting and cost control

Head Chef

• Lead all kitchen operations
• Develop seasonal menus using quality local produce
• Maintain consistently high food standards
• Manage food purchasing, supplier relationships and stock control
• Control food costs and minimise waste
• Recruit, train and mentor the kitchen team
• Maintain HACCP and food safety standards
• Deliver excellent food for restaurant service, private dining and events

We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Management Couple, General Manager and Head Chef, or a senior hospitality management team ready to take the next step
• Strong gastro pub, restaurant or boutique hotel experience
• Proven leadership and people management skills
• Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and costs
• Passion for quality food and hospitality
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Hands-on managers who enjoy leading from the floor and kitchen
• A genuine commitment to building a long-term business
