General Manager – New Visitor Attraction Dublin 1353946
Red D
Red D are recruiting a General Manager for an exciting new visitor attraction in Dublin.
This is a genuine pre-opening opportunity to lead the launch of a unique visitor experience from the ground up. Working closely with the Managing Director, you’ll help shape every aspect of the business, from building the team and developing the visitor experience to creating commercial partnerships and establishing the attraction as a must-visit destination.
This role is about much more than operations. We’re looking for an experienced manager who’s equally comfortable leading an operation and representing a business. You’ll bring strong commercial and sales experience, enjoy building lasting relationships and be confident working with tourism partners, corporate clients, the travel trade, media and other key stakeholders.
If you enjoy creating something new, building a team and growing a business, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact from day one.
The Role
As General Manager, you’ll take overall responsibility for the successful launch and ongoing operation of the visitor attraction. You’ll work closely with the Managing Director to deliver an exceptional visitor experience while driving commercial performance and building the profile of the business.
You’ll recruit, develop and inspire a customer-focused team, implement systems and operating procedures, establish service standards and ensure every visitor enjoys a memorable experience.
Alongside the operational responsibilities, you’ll be the public face of the business, actively promoting the attraction, developing strategic partnerships and identifying opportunities to increase visitor numbers and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the successful pre-opening and launch of the visitor attraction.
- Recruit, train and develop the management team and wider team.
- Create a positive, engaging and service-focused culture.
- Deliver an exceptional visitor experience every day.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation, ensuring consistently high standards.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures and service standards.
- Manage budgets, forecasting and financial performance.
- Drive revenue growth across all areas of the business.
- Identify new commercial opportunities and partnerships.
- Build relationships with tourism organisations, destination partners, corporate clients and the travel trade.
- Represent the business at networking events, industry functions and promotional activities.
- Develop relationships with local businesses and community organisations.
- Work closely with media and marketing partners to increase awareness of the attraction.
- Monitor visitor feedback and continually improve the customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety, licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Produce regular operational and commercial reports for the Managing Director.
About You
You’ll be an experienced hospitality, tourism or visitor attraction manager with a proven ability to lead people, grow revenue and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
You’ll be commercially minded, energetic and confident representing a business externally, while also enjoying the operational side of running a successful venue.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Senior management experience within hospitality, tourism, leisure or visitor attractions.
- Strong commercial and sales experience.
- Experience developing business partnerships and growing revenue.
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working with tourism bodies, corporate clients or the travel trade.
- Outstanding leadership and people management skills.
- Strong financial and commercial awareness.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- The ability to lead confidently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Passion for delivering exceptional visitor experiences.
Why Apply?
This is a rare chance to join a business before it opens and help create one of Dublin’s newest visitor attractions.
