Red D are recruiting an experienced Chef for a unique coastal dining opportunity on the Aran Islands, Co. Galway.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate chef who enjoys working with fresh, local ingredients and creating quality dishes inspired by the surrounding area. With a strong focus on local seafood, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to showcase their skills using some of the finest produce available from the Atlantic coast.

Working as part of a professional kitchen team, the Chef will prepare high-quality dishes while maintaining excellent standards across food preparation, presentation and service.

This role would suit a chef who enjoys a hands-on kitchen environment, takes pride in their work and is looking for the opportunity to live and work in one of Ireland’s most unique locations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes using fresh, local ingredients.
• Working with locally sourced seafood and seasonal produce.
• Ensuring excellent food quality, presentation and consistency.
• Supporting daily kitchen operations and service requirements.
• Maintaining HACCP and food safety standards.
• Assisting with food preparation, stock control and kitchen organisation.
• Working effectively as part of a busy kitchen team.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working as a Chef in a busy kitchen environment.
• Strong culinary skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Passion for fresh produce, particularly local seafood.
• Ability to work well under pressure during busy service periods.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Good knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
