Director of Operations | Five-Star Luxury Hotel | Dublin

Red D are recruiting a Director of Operations for one of Dublin’s leading five-star luxury hotels.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced hotel leader to join a luxury international hotel brand in a key executive role. Working alongside the General Manager, you’ll help shape the guest experience, lead a large operational team and ensure the hotel consistently delivers exceptional standards across every department.

Applications are welcome from experienced Directors of Operations, Hotel Managers, Deputy General Managers and senior operational leaders with a proven background in luxury five-star hotels who are ready for their next challenge.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership position with responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the hotel. You’ll work closely with department heads to ensure every area of the business performs to the highest standards while delivering excellent guest satisfaction, strong financial results and an engaged team culture.

The role oversees:

• Front Office
• Housekeeping
• Food & Beverage
• Reservations
• Spa
• Maintenance
• Security
• Guest Services

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading the daily operation of the hotel alongside the General Manager.
• Driving exceptional guest satisfaction across every department.
• Maintaining a visible leadership presence throughout the hotel.
• Supporting department heads to achieve operational and financial targets.
• Monitoring payroll, purchasing and departmental costs in line with budgets.
• Identifying opportunities to grow revenue while maintaining excellent cost control.
• Ensuring guest feedback is acted upon quickly and effectively.
• Recruiting, coaching and developing operational managers.
• Building succession plans and supporting future leaders.
• Ensuring the hotel consistently delivers luxury service standards.
• Maintaining excellent standards across Health & Safety, HACCP, Fire Safety and operational compliance.
• Supporting capital investment projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensuring operational procedures, financial controls and company standards are consistently maintained.

About You

• Current Director of Operations, Hotel Manager, Deputy General Manager or an experienced operational Division Head within a five-star luxury hotel.
• Proven experience leading multiple hotel departments.
• Strong commercial awareness and financial management skills.
• An approachable, visible and motivating leadership style.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Passionate about developing people and building high-performing teams.
• Experience working within Leading Hotels of the World standards would be highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Thai culture would be an advantage.
